About

In this website, I set out to defend a set of beliefs and values that I hold dear - and which are now increasingly under attack. There is an emerging political consensus in Britain that the state knows best how to run schools and hospitals, that high taxation is morally defensible and efficient and that the burgeoning public sector should be unchallenged. The equality agenda on the left has been entrenched by political correctness and multiculturalism while many defer to unelected bodies to tell us what we can and cannot say.

In foreign affairs, left wing Anti Americanism is sadly pervasive, while terrorism remains little understood. Many traditional assumptions about how to run society and allow individuals to live free from state control have been challenged and orthodoxies overturned. I will shortly post some short articles in the essays section which attempt to vigorously defend my own beliefs, and I invite others to respond with constructive comment. My online diary will regularly set out my thoughts on some issues of current significance, among which are the following:

  • The threat to the Western world from radical Islam.
  • The 'war on terror' and our relationship with the United States following the events of September 11th.
  • The state of British democracy, in light of the recent changes within the Conservative party.
  • The changes taking place in the education system in Britain.
  • Our membership of the European Union and its corrosive effect on British politics and economics.
  • The debate on multiculturalism and diversity within British society.
  • The negative effects of political correctness in Britain - and elsewhere.
